Pooping less often?

DD used to poop after every feeding, but just recently she has started pooping once a day. Today she didn't poop at all. It's also kinda a caramel color and it looks foamy (very wet too)....it used to be seedy/yellow. She is acting completely normal except a lot more gassy. I haven't introduced solids and she is EBF. I haven't changed my diet. I'm just wondering if this is normal or not.

    I learned with DS that kid poop is constantly changing. Unless there is blood, constant diarrhea, or constipation everything is probably okay. Some kids go days without pooping and apparently that's totally normal too.

    This is normal. When my DS got older, he pooped less -- even when EBFing.

    Agree with PP. When it comes to EBF babies, as little as 1 poop per week is normal behavior.

    I am EBF and my LO is SURELY pooping less often! As long as they aren't struggling to poop and dont seem in pain they are fine!

    Oh yes!  Colostrum in the breast milk has a natural laxative effect but it begins to disappear from the milk around 6 weeks of age.  As the milk becomes more mature, there are definitely fewer stools.  Totally normal Smile

    He would poop several times a day, than it went to once a day now its about 2x a week.  Its orangeish and runny.  Thsi is normal with BF to not poop all the time.
