How many naps does your 3 month old take in a day, and how long do they average? DS is so inconsistent, but lately I can't stretch them past 45 minutes, with a grand total of about 4 hours of daytime sleep by the time bedtime rolls around. It is the low end of average for his age based on many of the sleep books. His night sleep isn't bad. He's up around 12 and 4:30 to eat and goes right back to sleep. But part of me wonders if he would actually sleep better at night if he got more day sleep. Although whenever I think I got this kid figured out, he changes the game on me!

DD is 4 months now but her naps are the same as when she was 3 months old. She takes 4 naps a day and each are 30 or 50 minutes long.
3-4 naps consisting of about 2 hours each.
She was the same as your LO at 3 months and then gradually started taking longer naps.
This is my guy too. He's been like this since birth. I can set a timer by his naps - 30 minutes and up. At 3 months he would be ready to go back down after about 1 hr and a half.
this. Sometimes longer if she is in someones arms but we try not to do that.
DD gets 2 good naps that last anywhere from 1-3.5 hours. Typically 2+ hours. She also gets 1-2 little naps in the evening when we go for an evening walk (we babywear so she always falls asleep on walks). These naps are anywhere from 30mins to 1hr.
