I don't think Ryan Gosling is all that swoon-worthy.
Agreed.
esf60:
i'm probably going to get destroyed for this one, but... channing tatum? GROSS. not even slightly attractive.
Also agreed.
Yesterday I was trying to think of a male superstar (singer, actor, whatever) that I found super attractive any more - and I really couldn't. I'm nominating myself for the least popular opinion of today.
i was totally trying to think of some super attractive celeb, and the only one i can come up with is matt bomer. omg. have you seen that guy? GORGEOUS.
I will not celebrate any friend or family member that gets a puppy from a breeder. Everytime you do that, it creates more abandoned and euthanized animals. Every. Time.
If you really loved animals, you wouldn't pay $600 for a 'designer dog', which is just a mixed breed, when you could get a great dog for $60. Instead, you just caused death.
If you really want a purebred, they have those too. Both my dogs are purebred, and I got one from a shelter and one from a backyard breeder who didn't want her anymore and was going to dump her off a shelter anyway.

Yes! Pet stores are even WORSE! At least with a breeder it is a well thought out decision and lengthy process so there is more of a likelihood that the animal is really wanted. That being said, we have had two pure breed Newfoundlands and they both came from the breed's rescue organization. They were both given up by owners who decided they couldn't handle such a big dog. Breaks my heart. It wasn't cheap, but it was the right thing to do

My UO is I don't like when I hear parents say, "we've managed to keep our kid alive for xx months/years." It seems insensitive to the parents that have lost a child and they couldn't keep it from happening.
What context is this being said in?
For example, I overheard someone at work say, "I can't believe we've managed to keep (insert name) alive for a whole year! I'm pretty proud of that." Just rubbed me the wrong way. Not knowing what others may have gone through and not get lucky enough to have their babies for a whole year or whatever the timeframe is.
meh. I think you're being a little over sensitive. I think they're commenting more on their lack of parenting skills.
I probably am being over sensitive. I don't know that this would necessarily bother me if it were on a day where I actually got sleep the night before.
I know what you mean. I cried because my best friend has plans for the next two weekends. LOL
My UO is posts with pics so big you have to scroll over to the right to see the whole thing. So annoying. And I think I've done that in two separate posts myself. So I'm irritated with myself too.
Thursday!nbsp;My UO is that I'm so glad the January board is up and running now. nbsp;Nothing against those moms but I didn't like sharing our board with them. I knew we'd never see or hear from them again once they moved. nbsp;

I've seen both sides of this, and I have kind of a mixed opinion. While I do think it's worthwhile and wonderful to first look for a pet in a shelter, and I've seen many a wonderful success story for shelter pets, I don't think that a shelter animal is the right choice in every case. I know there are way too many irresponsible breeders out there, and they are just a part of this problem. But the responsible breeders are doing an excellent job of ensuring that their breed continues to be healthy and good tempered and that each of their puppies is placed in the right home. I feel that it is very important for them to continue their careful work.
Backstreet Boys we're better than 'NSYNC, and hotter too.
No. Just no. NSYNC was wayyyyyyy better!
Yes x 1000!!!
And let's throw 98 degrees in the mix as long as we are talking boy bands! oooh and maybe LFO????
New Kids on the Block..I totally saw them and Backstreet Boys in concert....I think they are touring with 98degrees and Boyz II Men! I like them all
I'm going to see NKOTB, 98 degrees and boys 2 men next month! I'm so excited! I just hope I can stay awake lol
I'm going to see them next month too. I can't wait. You know what's funny? I have never seen so many pregnant women at a concert as I've seen at NKOTB! It's insane--baby bellies wherever you look....

Is there a licensing process in place for breeders? I didn't think so but could be wrong. I wish that this were better regulated. It seems like it's a pretty well-documented problem but nothing is done about it.
I wish there was too. Anybody can breed dogs/cats, and that obviously causes issues when those animals aren't taken care of forever.
I think there should be restrictions on types of breeds in a certain areas, and how many litters you can have based on need. You don't need 50 lab breeders in one area, right? And you should have to pay fees for breeding and all of that, and if you're told, "No, you can't breed right now because theres plenty of litters born already", then good.
And should have to donate money to animal shelters if you want to breed animals in your home.
Dogs and cats should be pets first, breeders second. Ugh.

Channing tatum is ok looking but I don't like the way he talks.
You should always adopt puppies...
Mine is that I despise the words preggo and preggers. It makes people sound like they are 12.
