Thursday!

My UO is that I'm so glad the January board is up and running now. Nothing against those moms but I didn't like sharing our board with them. I knew we'd never see or hear from them again once they moved.

My uo is that I think dads to be get cut entirely too much slack on the boards. If my dh said to me "oh, you're not really nauseous it's all in your head" I would give him a smack down and rightly so! Here, the responses are "oh, maybe he's scared, buy him a book, hope he reads it". Who are the babies, the ones in our bellies or these spineless husbands?

These men need to man up and support their wives unconditionally! And that skill wont come from a book! Am I the only one that believes that?

I think a lot of people on this board are pretty immature.  They post inflammatory crap, then delete, then whine, then do it again.  Seriously, if you can't stand behind what you say, don't post it at all.  This month board is annoying the shiz out of me.  I wish all the newbies had taken the time to find out the general tone of the boards before joining.  A few of them aren't newbies, which makes me wonder how they can love conflict so much as to post 500+ times on a board and still act like that.

My UO is I really don't think letting your kids watch cartoons is the end of the world. Obviously you don't want to park them in front of the tv and use it as a babysitter all day but a little tv isn't going to negatively impact them. My son loves watching cartoons and gets so excited when the characters sing and dance. He sings and dances along with them, it's so cute!

as i was listening to the "boy band" pandora station at the gym this morning, i had a thought... will i one day be telling me kids about how obsessed i was with NSYNC, and will they think i'm totally lame? because seriously, there isn't a bad NSYNC song.

Same here.  S looooves bubble guppies. 

DS isn't a huge fan of bubble guppies. He likes when they sing but loses interest quickly. He loves Blues Clues and has been really into Sesame Street lately. I love when he grunts back at the tv when they ask a question. It's like he really thinks they're talking to him lol

I think Duck Dynasty is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen.

I'm actually not sure if this is unpopular or not. I always write an UO and then think maybe it's a FFFC. I guess I'll find out if it's unpopular now haha.

The weight gain post are driving me nuts...I think it's a little to early to be worried about weight gain, and if your Dr. isn't worried then relax. If you worrying about 4lbs right now, you are going to give yourself an anxiety attack when you've gained 30lbs. I completely understand if someone has concerns because they have had eating disorder and that is just a completely different situation, but majority of the post are just about gaining a few lbs and freaking out..I say enjoy it..this only time in a woman's life EVER she is encouraged to gain weight..any other time it's pressure to look like a movie star.

This. My weight fluctuates 3 lbs in either direction depending on the day...I am not going to beat myself up over it. Embrace the amazing things your body is doing, and move on.

I haven't even weighed myself! I have first appt. tomorrow so I will know if I gained anything at all. But with my first pregnancy, I never weighed myself. Only weighed in at dr appt. and that was it. Makes no sense to drive yourself crazy over weight gain..you are pregnant, it's going to happen regardless.

New Kids on the Block..I totally saw them and Backstreet Boys in concert....I think they are touring with 98degrees and Boyz II Men! I like them all

I recently learned this was an UO but LIKE the term sticky baby. I think it is cute.

I also think O'Douls is okay to drink if you need to fake drink with coworkers even though it contains like 0.2% alcohol.

And I agree NSYNC > Backstreet Boys.

I'm jealous. I tried to get tickets, but couldn't justify spending $200+ on a ticket. I was in love with Jordan Knight from NKOTB and Nick Lachey from 98 Degrees back in the day.

This doesn't make sense. Everyone knows O'Douls is nonalcoholic. Everybody would be asking why I'm drinking NA beer. Better to go with a water with lime.

My UO is that this board is NOT Snarky at all. I like that. If I want snark, I can head over to First Tri.

A little more controversial: I think soda is just as bad as smoking. I think it causes the same types of problems.

For example, I overheard someone at work say, "I can't believe we've managed to keep (insert name) alive for a whole year! I'm pretty proud of that." Just rubbed me the wrong way. Not knowing what others may have gone through and not get lucky enough to have their babies for a whole year or whatever the timeframe is.

meh. I think you're being a little over sensitive. I think they're commenting more on their lack of parenting skills.

I hate when people complain to a board of strangers about their H's and SO's. I really want to say, "if you have a problem... tell them". And I HATE when they get insulted when somone hears the rant and says H/SO is a bad person. you opened the can of worms... eat them.
