I don't have any recent pics of the inside, but here is what the outside looks like. This was a few days before we closed on it, 3.5 years ago. The house next door is obvs built now, lol.
Oh, please, this is so not happening. nbsp;My two bedroom apartment is a hell hole. nbsp;It's the end of the semester, I haven't cleaned in AGES, and we have baby toys, ungraded papers, and crap EVERYWHERE. nbsp;On second thought... this is what my home looks like:nbsp;
Can I come over swim in your pool?!?!?

This post is going to make me so jealous. Our 2-bedroom
condo is quickly closing in on us with all of the baby stuff. Can you
even spot DD in this mess?
This is bad to say, but I only have pictures before we did a 90% gut job on the house and second story addition. The only thing we didn't touch was the kitchen. I fell in love with the kitchen, but it took me all of about five weeks to realize my kitchen colors isn't done to my style. I love a nice country kitchen. I love white with bead boarding. My kitchen is dark wood, with dark granite. We were talking about gutting it, but we decided to put it off until next summer when we have a nearly two year old and a 18 month old. It is going to be easier to relocate the family to Canada for the summer while they tare it out. The outside is quite modern, which I don't mind. We back on to a golf course. We have a large pool and pool house and a lot of green out the back door. We live in a gated community. We have a front gate at the end of our driveway.
I love seeing everyone's house! I wish I had more pictures to share,
but these are the only two I could scrounge up on my work computer...
both pretty crappy.
Here's our house right before we moved in.
Don't you love our dirt lawn? We now have grass and some pretty
extensive landscaping.
And the only pic I have of the inside is of H's room when it was about halfway done...
This is the front of our house....it doesn't look like much from the front.
The back of the house and yard is awesome. We have a sunroom that overlooks a huge yard with a private field behind it. We have part ownership of the field so no one will ever build on it.
Today is the start of our living room re-do. I'll post pictures when it's done. I can't wait for some color on the wall!
So, I started taking pictures of our house when I was home for lunch, but it is waaaay to messy right now to share. I deleted the pictures immediately.
nbsp;Obviously this is before we moved in. Now we're trying to sell it 2 years later. It'll actually be 2 years exactly on Sunday.
I love this!! I totally want a house this style! I bet your sad to leave it!
Aw thanks!! I have totally mixed emotions about leaving. It is hard because we bought this house so we could have Chloe, we wanted to get into a safer part of town and there were no rentals out here. This is where I brought her home to. I spent so long making her nursery perfect, and I love being able to go for runs past these beautiful sprawling green farms.
But deep down I knew we would never be here forever. And I'm constantly reminded of the guilt I feel about DH working so hard to give us this home and provide for our family and not being able to be there to bring Chloe home that first time.
And I mean... We're going to ENGLAND. I really can't be mad about that.
We made a lot of progress on our house right before Nolan was born.
This is the updstairs "formal" living room. We still need to replace windows and replace/build a mantle. Hopefully before next Christmas!! I want to hang stockings.
This used to be our Dining room because the sectional we had didn't work anywhere in the new house except the area that was supposed to be the dining room.
Here's our dining room now. It used to have the sectional you'll see below in our den and the TV. That window on the far left will someday become double doors out to a deck.
Another dining room picture.
This is our den downstairs (it's a split level house) and where we spend 90% of our time. We (DH) remodeled it last summer. It used to have green carpet and wood paneling.
Off this room is a bedroom and an office. Down the hall you see is the back door and laundry/full bath. DH wants to turn this into a rental apartment. There's also been talk of turning the office that we never use into a laundry and the bedroom into a sunroom (it has a kitchenette, i.e. sink and cabinets). Then the bathroom would get fully remodeled as well (desperately needs it).
Below is our newly "remodeled" kitchen. DH replaced the countertops (they used to be textured orange...seriously) painted the cabinets, replaced the dishwasher, replaced the sink, painted the walls, and switched out a ceiling fan for a light fixture. (there are more countertops and cabinets to the right, but I don't have a picture)
Upstairs on the "third" floor are three bedrooms. None of them are worth showing except Nolan's. This isn't exactly what it looks like, but 90% close.
We live on the water and have lots of trees. If you go down to the water you can see this:
We used to have this nature trail down to the water.
Unfortunately, the neighbor decided to "help" us clean up after a hurricane and completely destroyed the train. Don't get me started. It makes me ragey.
Here's a partial picture of the backyard before we put in the fence.
Here's a recent picture of the front flower bed
It's a mess, but I never have time without Nolan to work on it. It looks way better than the barren sand pit it was when we bought it (see below).
Sorry for the tl;dr! Can you tell I don't feel like working?
nbsp;Obviously this is before we moved in. Now we're trying to sell it 2 years later. It'll actually be 2 years exactly on Sunday.

I'm literally drooling over your house! I loooooove it! What state are you in? Maybe I can pick it up and move it out here to California
Haha we're in NC.
It's for sale $148,900 if you want to move here!
Seriously?! $148,900!!! That is an amazingly great deal. What's the sq footage? How many bedrooms? We just sold our house that was built in 1954, 1000sq ft, 2 bedrooms for $140k - originally listed for $150k.

It's a 3 bed, 2 bath, 1325sq ft house on a half acre lot, back yard fenced in. Separate laundry room. ooooh lol. That is what sold me on the house.
You know I'm in! I'm a nosey Parker, so I like to see everyone's stuff. I actually thought about suggesting something like this to go along with the "Day in the life" but yaknow...I didn't want to seem like a TOTAL creeper.
Welcome to LiliD's forest. We are the Burtch family after all...it had to be done!
The living room:
The dining room:
The kitchen. I hatehatehate this room. Think of it as the "before." I am all about white kitchens, gray cesarstone or black granite countertops, and marble errverywhere. Pretend that's how it looks now instead of in 3 years, k?
You guys have seen my room in the day in the life post, and I think I'll do an AW of Lili's nursery when I take pics for my girlfriend's blog...that room is my favourite in the whole house!
Edit: fixing pic size!
Beautiful, Lili! Very YHLesque. I don't think the kitchen is bad, but definitely doesn't match the rest of the house. LOVE the wallpaper.

I got busy at work and I'm just now getting a chance to see all of these pretty houses!!! I love it!! Everyone has great houses! I love all the different ways people decorate them, too.
I love this thread!

BBJ had a great idea. Let's pretend you're on MTV Cribs and PIP those houses!!!
I seriously love seeing how people decorate and what houses look like inside! Please share yours!!
fyi.. best idea ever! im addicted to home decor boards on pintrest!!
This thread is full of beautiful houses and I have to be honest, it makes me sad. It's been over two weeks since that monster tree smashed the back half of our house and things are still tarped with no repair start date in sight. I can see the sky through the tarps if I look up in our hallway. There will be no pictures of this disaster until it's fixed, which will hopefully be some time in the next year the way the insurance company is dragging their feet. For now I will continue to live vicariously though you all.

Baby #2!
This was when we moved in (Christmastime!)
We have a patio, then a closed in yard:
I still don't like the color of our bedroom. Anyways, it's pretty nice for a two bedroom apartment around here.
SCANDAL!

Proud Mama to cleft cutie
The only picture I have is from the outside and from when we bought it 3 years ago. This is when it just finished getting built.
I'm at work, so this is the only pic I have access to (it was taken during the blizzard the northeast got this past February)
