You would think this stuff would get easier

So we are on year three, trial 2 with Bm. Poor SS freaking seriously.

So yesterday we thought we would get a continuance but our attorney did something stupid and royally made the judge mad so she denied it. Bm called herself as a witness and literally spent an hour talking about how much SS hates us and he cries when he has to leave her and go to our house and how much he wishes we weren't in his life.

Still hard to hear even if you know it's not true :(. I cannot imagine why feeling that or saying that would give her satisfaction in life, but it does. Just had to get this off my chest somewhere

    Also, just wanted to add Bm petitioned to have SS testify. The magistrate straight up asked her "are you sure you want to put him through this" and she said yes. So he testifies Wednesday :( such a sad situation all around

    Your attorney was not allow to cross examine her?

    I am sorry that really sucks I hope things get better.



    He was and everything she said was heresay and not allowed but she tried to get in as much as she could

    Is the Judge just going to interview him privately in chambers? I would push for that.

    Ugh I am sorry this really sucks, why do parents do this. It just hurts the child.

    I have no idea. The only one who loses is SS. Really disappointing

    We were requesting a GAL and he waited until the court date to submit the paperwork hoping that would result in a continuance. No idea why. That is not something we had discussed.
