A friend made me a drying rack out of wood and I painted it with primer and I know I need a waterproof finish for it before I start hang drying my diapers. I don't want anything that will be toxic on my diapers though. Any suggestions for a paint and finish?
I don't know about paint, but maybe you could finish it with a clear lacquer coat? Something that would seal things up and be pretty stable and non-reactive once it's fully dried up.
any latex based paint would be fine in a semigloss or gloss finish. enamels will be more durable and a glossy finish will be easy to clean and hold up better. the chemicals evaporate while the paint is curing which takes about 7 days depending on humidity and temp so after that I wouldn't worry about it. you can also look for a zero VOC latex paint. (I used to sell paint)

Re: What paint to use for drying rack
Thank you so much! Perfect!
