  I have an amniocentesis scheduled for the first week of June.  The genetic counselor said the risk of miscarriage is 1 out of 300.  I know some of you have had this or know of someone who might have had it done.  Has anyone known someone who had a complication after the procedure?  I am getting really nervous, and I am wondering if I should just cancel my appointment. 
  

  What's the amnio for? I would discuss this with your Dr. really and that way you two can come up with a plan on it. I wouldn't cancel the appointment yet, there has to be a good reason to get the amnio done, but even 1 out of 300 risk for a m/c is to high for me, but if it's a much needed appointment I would keep it.

  Hi I had one at 37 weeks with my DD2 and it was super easy a little pinch and it was over fast, no complications no problems! Good luck!
