EBFers - how often does LO eat?

Ladies who EBF, how often does your LO eat during the day and how many weeks old are they? We're at 7 weeks and still pretty much feeding every two hours during the day. I was sort of hoping that we'd stretch closer to three hours by now. I return to work next week and was hoping to only have to pack three bottles for him, but I'm thinking I'll have to pack a fourth just in case. Has anyone else returned to work yet and how did things work out as far as how many bottles a day LO is taking?

LO eats every 2 to 3 hours around the clock with one 4 hour stretch at night. He typically cluster feeds in the early morning and evening hours though. I always sent 4 bottles to daycare for DS1 (there for about 9 hours) ...and honestly DS1 ate every two hours FOREVER ... Unlike his little bro.

ETA you will have to see how baby does at daycare. Some will take less and hold out for mommy... Doesn't look like either of my kids are like that!

Yeah still usually every 2 hours unless he is taking along nap during the day, then he can stretch it to 3 or 3.5 hours.. Although he has been a hungry hippos the past few mornings and has been cluster feeding. My guy will be 6 weeks tomorrow.

5 Weeks old and eats every two hours.. Sometimes more often.. Stretches it out if he's sleeping.. I'd always send an extra.bottle. If LO doesn't take it you could freeze it that night.

almost 6 weeks...he eats every 2-3 hours during the day depending on how long he naps. He is pretty good with the EASY routine (Eat, Awake, Sleep, you time) so he eats when he wakes up. I like to wake him if he's still sleeping and it's 3 hours.

At night, he'll usually give me a 6 hour stretch so I'm fine with waking him to eat during the day if he sleeps longer at night.

He'll sometimes cluster feed at night too and eat every 1-1 1/2 hours.

My LO eats about every 3 hours, but I think she's going through her 6 week growth spurt. She's been cluster feeding more often and taking longer naps between. Sometimes she'll only go 1.5 hours between feedings and they aren't predictable so I'm going to send extra frozen BM to daycare if they need it they will thaw it out.

This. She will be 5 wks tomorrow. She also does a big first stretch at night- about 4 to 5 hours

8 weeks and he eats at least every 2 hours during the day. The only exception is if he takes a nap in the afternoon, and may go three hours. At night he goes 34 hours and then 2 hour stretches.

Mine is unpredictable. I feed on demand exclusively, whether its been 1 hour or 4 hours. (Her pedi said its fine at 5 weeks for her to go 4 - 5 hours, and not to feel like i have to wake her up). Usually she's around 2-3 hours, although she likes to cluster feed usually during the afternoon / early evening.

During the day he's still eating about every 2 hours. Sometimes he goes a little longer if we're doing something or he's sleeping (he sleeps whenever we're in the car, in a store, etc.). At night it's always different, but on average, he'll sleep for about 4-5 hours between feedings in the middle of the night.

He'll be 8 weeks tomorrow.

During the day he eats every 3 hours about. He's fed on demand. At night we get 45 hr stretches now pretty consistently. LO is 8 weeks today.

Mine LO is 7 weeks and he goes every 2.5 hours and at night he can go 3.5.

Every 2 hours in the morning, stretching to 3 or 4 in the afternoon, then back to every 2 in the evenings and between every 3.5 and 5.5 hours overnight. Then back to every 2 hours....rinse, repeat...
