I'm in the market for a new car. I currently have a 2003 Chevy Malibu. It's on it's last leg. In October my girls will be 5 and 2 1/2. What are you doing for your car? I'm cool with a minivan option. I'm looking for opinions/ suggestions. TIA:
We broke down and got the minivan when I was pregnant with 2 in anticipation of a 3rd baby since we needed a new vehicle anyway. While I was hesitant at first, I can't say how much I love it! There is so much space and it's so easy to get kids in and out of. I love not having to bend over to put my 1 and 1/2 year old in his car seat. We ended up getting a Chrysler Town Country. My oldest son also plays hockey, so we definitely need the room for when we haul extra kids to and from practice/games. My sister has a Chevy Traverse and while she has the third row, it isn't easily accessible. When we have our kids together we always take the minivan instead of her vehicle. Good luck!
I'll only be a mom of 2, but I got a Honda pilot this summer and LOVE it. Third row is amazing and not tight for whoever has to fit back there. I can honestly say that there isn't anything I don't like about it. Chances are we'll just buy this once my lease is up.

This is my 3rd. My older kids will be 4.5 and 3 when the new baby is born. We have a Kia Sedona minivan and it works great for us, it's our second one actually.

I cannot do a minivan and with three I know the practicality of it.....so we are getting a ford flex. Third row for my oldest who will be 4.5. It handles really nicely too and most importantly is not a van!
We are giving in to a minivan. With two in car seats now... the Pilot we have now is tight... although I do absolutely love it. I sometimes sit between the boys in the back and it's tight between those car seats! We don't ever use the third row and it would not be practical (to us) to have to go climb back there over other car seats to strap our "big" guy in.. plus then lose the trunk space. Plus, it's already getting difficult to get him into his car seat since he can't climb all the way up himself yet. I know when my belly gets bigger and I have more growing pains.. it's going to be that much more difficult and painful!
Thankfully we're keeping the Pilot and swapping out DH's old Pathfinder. We're about to pull the trigger on a Honda Odyssey purchase.. but were seriously consider the Toyota Sienna too (the Sienna is avail in AWD which we're used to with SUV's so initially it seemed more important than it probably should have to us). We don't think we'll be minivan people forever.. when the kids are out of car seats we'll switch back to SUVs. But, two rear facing and one forward facing.. minivan it is...
When we had our 2nd we went from a Sable to an Expedition. I tried a mini van out and it was not for me. We have a Yukon now and love it. I love the extra room and my husband loves that it's 4 wheel drive and that he doesn't lose his man card when driving it. LoL we are number four now and still have plenty if room for extras.
Automatic sliding doors are an amazing gift from God especially with a car seat in your hand and kids who are not big enough to open car doors themselves. I've driven my sisters odyssey and it drove like a car to me. We have a Toyota and I like it for the interior but liked how the honda drove more.
My sister went to an expedition when her boys got older and honestly I feel we have more storage and room in the minivan. Though I imagine when our kids get older we Will go back to the SUV option.

We have a Hyundai Santa Fe. It has room in the back seat for a carseat plus the kids. But my kids are 12 and 13 and both meet the height and weight requirements to not need any booster or anything. We used to have a Chrysler Town and Country Minivan that I absolutely loved. Wish we still had it.

Chevy Suburban, LOVE it.
Friends don't let friends drive Minivans

We will have two kids in carseats and one one in a booster...it was the only logical choice.
I am soo happy we got it too! There is so much room in it. I love it.
I grew up with my mom driving Suburbans so I completely agree with this. I just will never own a minivan.
