What do you use for sunblock? I am not a fan of slathering chemicals all over my body and LO. But I am pasty white and so I need something. I like using blue lizard sensitive that contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. It has been making LO break out though. Has anyone made you own sunblock?
I used the same website PP mentioned to research. We went with Seventh Generation. I don't remember the exact name, but it's intended for kids. Amazon and Walmart both carry it.
Never thought of making it-but Im willing to bet there's a way. I'm also careful about LOs chemical exposure (there's so much that environmentally you can't avoid, that I want to avoid what I can). I looked for a skin deep rating of one, zinc oxide as active ingredient, non whitening, no nano particles (popular with non whitening) and North American made (stricter standards). I bought Green Beaver organic sunblock. I haven't tried it on LO yet (waiting til 6 months) but I tried it on myself and it seems to work just fine.
Re: NCDR sunblock?
I used this as a reference https://www.ewg.org/2012sunscreen/ and bought this last year https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005FSR9OW/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
I'm probably going to buy the same again this year.
