I got my new Flip trainer a couple days ago and tried it out for the first time overnight. Worked great with the cotton pad it came with and a Joey Bunz premium hemp and bamboo insert underneath. I wiped out the cover, but it still smells strongly like pee.
What's the best way to wash one cover? Can I use a drop of Dawn or do I need to use my powdered detergent?

Re: Hand washing Flips?
I wouldn't use dawn. Just add a bit of powdered detergent in your sink and agitate it with your hands, then rinse in clean water. I'd recommend gloves because the detergent can be harsh on your skin, but for one diaper cover it probably wouldn't matter.
Don't add too much detergent, or it can become a pain to rinse. Although again, for a cover it isn't as hard to rinse. When I've hand washed, I use like a teaspoon for an entire bucket.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.
I would do this too. Wash it then air dry and you're good to go.

That'll work if I have laundry to do. I don't necessarily have a load every day. I'll just have to wash in a bucket quickly on the other day.
