I think it's a pretty name, but I've only ever seen it spelled Naia.

I have a friend with a little girl named Nya. She was adopted from Africa and her name is a shortened version of her given African name. I really like it on her, but wouldn't use it myself.

I know a little girl named Shaniya (yes, like Shania Twain) with the nn Niya, so that's what I think of when I hear it.

Not my style. For some reason, it only seems like half a name to me, especially spelled that way.
