Alright guys, without getting into the nitty gritty I need a kick azz project/ craft idea for my SD (6) and Ds (3) for this afternoon. SD's mom went and bought a puppy this morning and called her and rubbed it in her face. They had been talking about it for weeks so SD is pretty upset (rightfully so). I brought them to the playground this morning and that was good but now that we are back home she is sulking about it again. So give me some ideas of something that we can do this afternoon?

Whaaaat? Does it actually work?? I'm not on pinterest, let me see if I can google it!
I found this. I guess they can be called snake bubbles too.

Add food coloring to a tub or sink of soapy water and splash around in the pretty colors
Mixing cornstarch and water makes this awesome goo that is great for little hands to squish in. I put it in a tub or large pan. You could add food coloring to this too.
Shaving cream fight! (Probably best outdoors) then if they have swimsuits on they can get right in the shower/tub to rinse off.
Play "Blues Clues" and put clues around the house that leads to an object hidden in the house or yard. This can also be done like a treasure hunt if you draw a simple map for them to follow.
I do something similar with my first graders when we study Jackson Pollock. YouTube some clips of him working then let them try it. I have the kids pick up the tray and tilt it to roll the marble around. If the weather is nice go outside and let them drip and splatter the paint. The kids love it and I've done it as young as 4 yr olds.
Is she into dolls? Paint bow tie pasta, hot glue to a bobby pin for diy doll bows or to a ribbon for headband. Keagan can make bow ties for his teddy bears by hot glue to a rubber band or ribbon.
James' afternoon art project is painting a sign for my sister's new business. I do this a lot, just put tape on canvas (or construction paper if you don't have canvas) spelling out a word, have the kids paint over the tape all over the canvas. Once the paint is pretty much dry, remove the tape to reveal the word. You can do her name, tie some ribbon from the top and make a sign for her room.
