Help with boy name

We are 12 days till induction day and still have not decided on a name. It seems like we have narrowed it down to three options but Im open to new suggestions. DH and I just can't seem to agree, its either we go with his choice or mine and I hate that someone is just going to have to give in (honestly it will likely be him). Here are our choices

Reid (my choice)

Grayden (DH choice)- we liked Grayer which I know most people on here dislike but it bothered me how often it would be mispronounced etc. I like Gray but DH likes a name that can be shortened into other names/nn etc so he came up with this. I also am not a big fan of the Aiden/Brayden/Jayden names so it bothers me this name is following that trend.

Ford- a new name we are both mullion over

We have a very long last name, ten letters ending with -mann. I like the idea of having a short, one syllable first name to go with such a long last name.

  • Reid.

I really don't like the other 2 or even consider them legit names.

    but Reid is really nice!
  • Reid 100%! Love that name. I actually don't hate Ford. It's NMS but it's in that strong one-syllable category. I like some of PPs suggestions too, especially Flynn.

  • Reid or Grayson.

Grayden is awful, Ford is a last name.

  • Please Reid!  If you like the idea of Gray as a nn, what about Grayson?  While Grayson is NMS, I like it better than Grayden.  Ford is ok.
  • Reid. Miles miles miles about the other two.

If you really want to do a Gray- name, what about Grayson? I am really not a fan of it either but it's so so much better than Grayden.

  • Reid if I have to pick one.  NMS but Grayden is a made up name and just like Aiden, Brayden, Jayden, etc. etc.  Ford is not a first name.

    Grant?
    Luke?

  • I strongly dislike Grayden, it just doesn't sound nice at all. In your particular situation, I really like just Gray as a first name. It's unusual, but not unheard of. It sounds strong. Another suggestion would be Graham, Grant, or Grayson nn Gray.&nbs

  • I really like Reid. And if your H is really into nicknames, then maybe you could do an initial nickname. Choose a middle name that begins with a J and the nickname could be RJ? Just an idea!

  • Of those 3 I like Reid best.  What about Grady?  It is short, similar style (but established name!) and you can probably get away with using Gray as a nn.

  • I agree with the consensus of the board: Reid is the best of the three. Go with Grayson over Grayden if you really like Gray as a nm.

My first reaction to Ford was to think of the book Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Ford Pr

  • Grayden is just terrible. It is the name of an acquaintance's dog, pug and austrailian shepherd mix, and it is the ugliest dog. Nice personality though, but still. It barely works on a dog, it shouldn't be a kid's name!

    I do not mind Grayson
  • From this list I like Reid.

    Has he considered Grayson?

  • My first choice would be Gray then Reid. I don't like Grayden at all and dislike Ford unless it's in the MN spot.

Graham or Grayson could be good compromises because they can both be shortened to Gray.

Graham Ford is nice but I

  • Well since my sons name is Graydon that is what I would go with. I know the others said it was awful but hey some could say the same about their name choices and what a boring world we would live in if we all liked the same names. As for the comments abou
