I just found out I was pregnant about two and a half weeks ago. I have no clue how far I am, my appointment is tomorrow.
I recently started setting time aside for myself again to get back in shape. I had lost about 10 lbs and then got stuck. I was doing two a days at the gym and couldnt get the scale to move. Then I found out I was pregnant so it made sense why I wasnt losing weight. I currently weigh 166 and I am worried about putting on too much weight because I am technically overweight. I have big legs and a big butt where I carry my weight (I am a Puerto Rican soccer player so I have always been a little larger on the bottom). When I tell people my weight, they are shocked because I "dont look overweight at all." (Thank you!)
For the last week and a half, I have been sick as a dog and havent been to the gym for almost two weeks now. Please just tell me that this exhaustion and nausea goes away so I can get back to the gym.
Re: Please tell me it gets better!
i forced myself to go. I always had to go in the morning since my sickness hit the worst in the afternoon, and even though i was exhausted, i made myself go just to keep up the facade of going so that when i did get better it wouldn't be a shock.
but it does get better! around 12-14 weeks it will definitely get better (I LOL as I write that time frame, since now with an LO whenever people tell me something like "at 6-8 weeks this is what happens" I get so frustrated because that's a 2 week difference! but in hindsight you realize its a short amount of time).
It gets better. However, when I was pregnant with DS, I made myself get out there even if I was tired, nauseous, etc. Working out made me feel so much better and energized. Trust me, it was hard dragging myself off the couch a lot of those times, but I felt better for it in the end.
Once you get past first tri, you should start to get some energy back once your hormones start leveling out a bit.
