Today, I'd really rather not go to work. You think anyone will mind? Long and short, it's been crazy busy, people are stressed and at each other's throats about the financial part of the business. I'm working on a major PR campaign, but it's the little stuff that's starting to get to me, like the annoying reporter who calls six times a day, or my boss, whose directions are sometimes less than clear, leading me to do the exact opposite of what I thought he intended. I was pretty much in tears by the time I left for home last night. I need the weekend to come, stat.

I guess it depends. Crazy, busy times are exactly when you need a day off the most, but unfortunately if people are relying on you because it's crazy, busy then your absence might cause more problems.
