Poll: LCs

Just curious how common it is to have free LC services for an unlimited time? Both of the hospital choices we have offer free LC services, one hospital even has them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Both hospitals invite moms to come back for help the entire time they bf.

Am I just really lucky or is this pretty common. I've heard some moms mention LC fees.

  • I thought it was free, but they actually billed our insurance for it.  We didn't have to pay, but our insurance did.

Personally, I didn't find the hospital's LC the most friendly/helpful person, so I did not seek out her services

  • Nope. I had to get a referral from my OB, then I was sent to a LC connected with the hospital. Because if the way it was billed to my insurance, I had to pay 120 for each session. And my insurance only covered 4 visits. Totally worth it though.
