How to dress summer (June) baby?

I'm kind of lost as to what kind of clothes I should be buying for DD - I'm due about mid June & live in WI - it could be about 60 or 80 - you never know..  (DS was born in Jan so I have tons of winter newborn clothes)  In the beginning I'm thinking a short-sleeve onesie & a sleep n play?  Or onesie & a one-piece long sleeve/pant outfit (w/ no feet - put light socks on her).  I don't want to overheat her but if it is warm I think just a onesie wouldn't be enough - in the beginning they're so skinny & little..  Any advice tips for moms who've had summer babies??  thx!

  • DS was a summer baby in Arizona, so it was VERY hot. Inside I had him in onesies and socks, and usually had a light receiving blanket over his legs when the a/c was on. Outside it was just a onesie. I dressed him according to how I would feel comfortable,

  • Both of my previous two were summer babies in Florida (July and August) and I always dressed them according to how I would feel comfortable. Babies overheat easily and I would find that if I took him on a car ride even just to the docs he had a tendency t

  • My little man is due June in Texas so I am going to be anticipating very warm weather as that is how it always is. I will dress him in a cute onezie maybe some matching pants and socks and have a light blanket on standby.

  • Dress baby in 1 thin layer more than you'd wear (so what you'd wear plus a onesie undershirt).

  • I'm in OH, so similar weather.  My DD was born end of june, and we used a little bit of everything.  Like you said, the weather varies so much by day.  I remember with her, we were searching stores to find light weight pants because we did
