32 weeks with twins- question about sleeping

Hey everyone, looking for some sleeping advice....

I know discomfort is totally normal. Hip, back, leg pain....I've have it all! But lately I'm feeling not just uncomfortable but actually sick when I lay down. Whether its the left or right side, I can only lay for about an hour and I wake up feeling so crampy and nauseous that I actually feel like I have to vomit...to the point where Im gagging. It's so bizarre. And I've actually found some very comfortable positions, using my snoogle on the couch, so it's so frustrating to be in a nice deep sleep and have to move because I'm nauseous even though I'm so comfortable.

I don't go to the dr for another 2 weeks, so I figured I'd reach out to some of you to see if its fairly normal or if I should call the dr sooner.  I know back sleeping can be dangerous in terms of organs and blood supply, so I am just worried this nausea could mean something dangerous for me or my babies. Needless to say, sleeping sitting up is not working for me!

Re: 32 weeks with twins- question about sleeping

  • It sounds like acid reflux. I get bad heartburn and it makes me feel like I going to throw up. I take 2 tums and it settles enough for me to fall asleep. I could be wrong but that's what it is for me.
