I hate people on local news sometimes...

Seriously, where do they find people to interview on the local news reports?  There was a boy injured by one of the bombs in Boston-he was there to cheer on his mom who was running the race.  Thankfully, it looks like he'll make a full recovery.  There was a report on local news about how he is doing and when he'll be able to come home.  They interviewed some lady that is somehow linked to him (his neighbor's cousin's ex-boyfriend's laundry lady or something far removed).  Here's what she had to say:

"I'm just so excited that he got to meet Michelle Obama.  I mean so many opportunities are opening up for him."

Seriously?!  Yeah, he was injured and hospitalized as a result of an explosion, saw unspeakable things that no child should have to see, but cool-he meet Mrs. Obama!  Sometimes people really bug me...

  • I have had the same thoughts. Maybe newscasters don't realize that their choice of interviewees can really hurt their story. It seems around here that they pick the absolute worst person they can find to interview.
