Has anyone started purchasing any baby gear yet? It seems like there is so much to get that I wanted to get started so that I don't have a million things on a registry. Just having a tough time with where to begin and how much research to put into each item?! TIA :)

    I don't think there is any harm having a lot on your registry. It gives people options but also you get completion coupons. 10 to 15% off a big ticket item is totally worth it. I hear that when you register you should mark your due date as a month earlier

    My husband and I went to babies r us last night. We looked at almost everything. I loved that they had all the items accessible to test. We've made a decision on the stroller/carseat combo.

    Like others have suggested, Baby Bargains and Lucie's List are great resources.  Registries are great for completion coupons so don't worry about putting things on there.
