We signed our 3.5 year old son up for T-Ball this spring and the only thing we are required to purchase for him is a glove. So I went to the sporting goods store before my evening class tonight and picked up the smallest glove I could find (a size 9 and says it fits kids under 6). DH hadn't put the boys to bed by the time I got home so I had a chance to try it on him....it is huge! His fingers barely even go into the holes. Is there a special glove I need to be looking for? Does my 3.5 year old just have unusually small hands?

I just did a quick search on amazon and it looks like 9" is the standard toddler size of 3 and up. I did find one that was 8.5", not sure how much of a difference that half an inch makes.

My son started t ball at 2. He is small on top of that. My husband got his glove at a sports store and I believe it's 8" but the other kids on the team have 9" gloves which are barely any different. I think the 9" glove will be fine. I know it looks hu
