I probably would be ok buying anything wood/plastic/metal, but nothing made of cloth or upholstered. But then, I have a phobia about used clothing/cloth that is definitely not normal, so it may just be my own weird issues.
I think it depends on the situation and the seller. I bought a one month old couch from Ikea off of craigslist this last fall for half the cost of new. When we went to look at it in the lady's apartment I really examined what I could see of th
I've bought stuff off craigslist and it was fine. We got a futon from craigslist and it was great. I've gotten a lot of stuff over the years as various roommates came and went with their things. You just have to go and look
I guess maybe I should post this in the FFFC: We bought our mattress on CL. You have to judge the seller, ask questions, meet them, look at the item, and in general do your research. It is no different than purchasing furniture from goodwill o
I just bought a dresser that I plan to fix up for my DD on there. I don't buy things from there that can't be scrubbed down though. I have bought a ton of baby gear on craigslist and through consignment sales and have saved a ton of money.
My husband and I are seriously thinking of getting our crib from there. All wood, so hopefully no hitch hikers. The thought of bringing bugs into the house is disturbing though.
Wishing I could meet the sparkle in my eye- I'm so very ready!!!

I got DD#1's changing table and glider w/ ottoman from CL - we still have them and use them both. They were crazy expensive, nice brands, hardly used and we paid virtually nothing for them...I'm a sucker for a deal. I think you just have to be
I look daily on CL for cribs and dresser/changing table for the baby's room. If I find a deal, I'm so snapping them up. I would get my own mattress and pad though.
