Today is my first day back at work. Being back in my routine is therapeutic but the looks from coworkers are hard to handle. Even though I know they mean well and just don't know what to say.
On 3/27 I got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and immediately realized something was wrong. Once we got to the hospital it was determined I was completely dilated and the amniotic sac was already in the birth canal and I would have to deliver. I was 20w4d. At 5:29am our sweet perfect daughter, Alice was born. We were supposed to have our anatomy scan on. 3/28, instead we were making burial plans.
We later learned I had an incompetent cervix. I am heartbroken. I have my good moments, but there are times where I am overcome with sadness and other times where I am filled with incredible anger at the whole thing.

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious Alice. You have come to the right place for support. Everything you are feeling is normal and although it seems so dark now, you will find light again. It's a rough journey, but we are all here to support you
