Today is my first day back at work. Being back in my routine is therapeutic but the looks from coworkers are hard to handle. Even though I know they mean well and just don't know what to say.

On 3/27 I got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and immediately realized something was wrong. Once we got to the hospital it was determined I was completely dilated and the amniotic sac was already in the birth canal and I would have to deliver. I was 20w4d. At 5:29am our sweet perfect daughter, Alice was born. We were supposed to have our anatomy scan on. 3/28, instead we were making burial plans.

We later learned I had an incompetent cervix. I am heartbroken. I have my good moments, but there are times where I am overcome with sadness and other times where I am filled with incredible anger at the whole thing.
Married 11/23/11, TTC starting 10/12, BFP#1 11/30/12, Adoption of stepson finalized 03/19/13,Loss of our daughter at 20w4d due to incompetent cervix 03/27/13, BFP#2 06/28/13, DS2 born 3/1/14.

    I'm so sorry you have to be here and for the loss of precious baby Alice. I hope you find comfort in this community. We all truly know how you feel. I'm so sorry.

    I'm so sorry for your loss and hope you find some comfort here. I lost my son on January 27th due to incompetent cervix so I know what you're going through. Feel free to pm me if you ever want to talk!

    Mom to Eliott Alexander, born sleeping at 37 weeks on 8/13/10. Most of us only dream of angels - I held one in my arms.

    So sorry for the loss of your daughter. Today was my first day back as well. It's all very, very tough. ((((hugs))))

    I'm so sorry to welcome you here and for the loss of your sweet Alice. I remember the first days back at work...they were so hard for me. I hope that the days get better and that you turn to this board when you need to. The women here are great. *hugs*

October 2012 Metformin 1500 mg= ovulation on CD34 BFP#2 11/14/12 9DPO, EDD 7/26/13, DX Gestational Diabetes @14 wks, our angel born sleeping 3/24/13 @ 22wks 2d.     I am so sorry for the loss of your precious Alice. You have come to the right place for support. Everything you are feeling is normal and although it seems so dark now, you will find light again. It's a rough journey, but we are all here to support you
