How much are you willing to pay for a diaper bag?

I'm not one to spend much money whatsoever. But I have my eye on this timi & leslie diaper bag that's $150! Is it worth it to spend the money?

Re: How much are you willing to pay for a diaper bag?

  • $30 tops. I got DS's diaper bag from a yard sale for $5 and I love that thing!

  • 100. And that's not like me, but I hate my current one and in eyeing up a new one that's close to 100.

  • The bag I'm looking at is in the $80-$90 range, but it's something that I can see myself using as a bag for myself after LO is finished with it.

  • I'm right there with you, I fell in LOVE with the Kate Spade Stevie baby bag and even at the outlet you're talking $175 (thank you birthday money!).  But it's exactly what I want, it doesn't scream diaper bag (since it will also double as a purse), i

  • DD's diaper bag is an owl backpack that's currently going for $17 on Amazon. But I've never been much of a purse person. I carry my computer and wallet in a canvas bag!
  • Im a FTM so not sure if having an expensive one is really worth it..I prob would have gone for like  a $30 one but my sister got the one that I had on my registry for me and it was $50 so that's what we have.

  • I paid $175 for my Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag. It's great and was worth it IMO. I'm not one to drop large amounts of money on bags either. I do wish I would have got the larger version though.

  • I think I spent $60 on ours. I'm cheap and can't imagine spending over $100 on one.

  • I just spent about $150 on mine. I love it! It's a Coach tote. It's my one major splurge this pregnancy. I went cheap the last two times and had to replace them every year. This way it has the guarantee if it doesn't hold up and it looks fantastic.

  • I was just planning on using some rando bag we already have (ie spend $0), but my mom's BFF already got me a Coach messenger diaper bag and another huge Coach tote as a backup <img src="https://community.thebump.com/cs/emoticons/emotion-8.gif" alt="Indiffe

  • If you are having multiple kids, I would say yes. The more expensive bags hold up really well, and they don't look like diaper bags.

I have a PPB touring tote. I love this bag, and after two kids and almost daily use, it still looks new. The

  • Probably $50 tops. It's going to be filled with diapers, half of them poopy (cloth diapering). I'm not trying to spend a lot of a bag for that reason.

  • I think I spent $80 on the first one, which I got on Gilt for a deal. This time around, I'm thinking of getting a PPB or a Jujube for ~$150. I guess because I'm in LA and people don't think much of dropping $500 for a handbag, this doesn't seem like that
  • Absolutely nothing. I recycled a purse I had from when super gigantic handbags were in style. It has plenty of space, is a neutral color, and I won't care if it gets damaged or dirty.

  • Under $100 for sure. There is no way I'd spend more than that on a diaper bag. I intend on getting a pretty neutral messenger style bag that my husband won't feel weird about carrying. I'm not a big stylish purse person, so it won't bother me at all.&nbsp

  • I spent $175 for petunia pickle bottom
  • The two that I have my eye on are both in the $150-$175 range. We wanted something that doesn't scream "diaper bag" but doesn't look like a purse, either. We have decided on either the Pottery Barn Kids Classic Diaper bag or the Jon Hart diaper bag. Bo

  • My plan is to get a bag of holding and some addin organizers. I'll probably end up near 125 total. I'm having twins, so I'd rather have a huge bag... And one I can reuse.

I've had a few of the bag of holding in the past, for school.

  • I spent 175 on a PPB bag with DS. I really like it, but probably didn't need it. Now I use an Eddie Bauer mini sling backpack most days.

If I could go back in time, I probably wouldn't spend that much. But for those first few months when I f

  • I'm looking at this one (link below) and I think it's even a bit pricey at 60 bucks. I guess I'm super frugal though, because I don't even spend that much on regular purses for me!

  • I would spend 100. With Dd we got 2. One was for dh and anyone else she was with and the other one was mine. I used it to carry my stuff as well Also reusing something in the house or getting a regular bag wouldn't work for me. I like to have the

  • Spent 50 on a Vera Bradley one.

  • $30 or $40. It's not something I really care about.

Once the baby gets bigger around 7 or 8 months, a backpack style one works better since it's easier to carry the baby.

  • I don't have many purses, but the ones I have are really nice.
I think I want to do the same with the diaper bag.

I'm looking at this one--it's $400 and I'm trying to find a sale:

  • $300 would probably be my max.
  • I am probably the wrong person to ask.  After working in luxury goods for most of my career, I have quite a collection of expensive shoes and purses.  I don't spend a lot on my clothes...I just splurge on my accessories.

    That being said
