Little Benny started to cut his first tooth this weekend (you can just see the little white sliver on his gums and barely feel it when I stick my finger in his mouth).
And it made me realize that I love the fact that both my boys have been on the later side for teething (DS1 = 10 months, DS2 = 8, almost 9 months). I'm happy I got to enjoy those gummy baby smiles for such a long time. So cute.
Then I realized that it was kinda a silly thing to me to be so "happy or proud" about. It's not like we have any control over when our kids get their first teeth.
Anyone else have something silly they love/loved about their kids development that you had absolutley no control over, haha?

My cousin's daughter was crying yesterday and J shhhh'd her and told her it would be okay.
I love watching him learn to dance. He'll watch and re-watch a video with dancing (usually something from Yo Gabba Gabba) and start copying the moves. It's crazy the stuff he picks up on.
