Question for the make-up wearers

I don't wear make-up, so I don't know anything about it.

How often do you reapply during the day? Assume you are sitting at your desk all day not doing anything strenuous that would cause it to run or whatever.

I ask because in the 4 hours a day I am in the same office as my co-worker she reapplies her make-up at least 5-6 times. Everyday. Every time she walks away from her desk when she comes back she pulls out her little mirror and checks her face and reapplies. Then she picks at all her acne scabs and has to reapply again. By the end of the day she must have a full pound of powder on her face.

Is this normal? Or is this just another thing to add to the list of things that make her insane?

Insane. I put on makeup between 5 and 6 am. I only apply chapstick or lipgloss throughout the work day and it holds up pretty well.

If I have plans after work, I will dust with powder/bronzer and touch up my eyeliner. </p

I apply the full face in the AM-- foundation, powder, blush, eyeshadow, liner and mascara.

Typically by mid day I pat my face down with a coating of powder (I am oily).

When I actually wear makeup, I apply it once in the morning and take it off at night. If any "touch up" is needed, I'll use oil blotting papers, but I don't personally use powder. I don't like how it looks on my face.

I probably reapply my lipstick 5 or 6 times a day. Now I feel weird about it. I rock red lipstick for every day wear, and that stuff needs to be touched up or it just looks bad.
