Business trip bathing suit solution?

So I'm the cool person that has to cover up my skin when I'm in the water. I've been looking for rash guards that weren't so rash guard-y. I wouldn't typically think to look at Lands End but I happened upon these and I think they're great.

LE - They have multiple colors and patterns. I just linked one.

Would this work for some of you ladies on a business trip? They are meant to be worn over a bathing suit but in the water, for added sun protection.

JCrew actually just came out with something similar, but more expensive, as well.

Would you think I was strange if you only ever saw me in the water completely covered (I've always just worn sunscreen and a big had but they found 4 more spots while I was PG, which is about 7 too many for my age, and so I have been told that I pretty much shouldn't expose my skin to sun at all, ever... but I'm a bit self conscious about being the odd ball. Well, kind of. Not really. I dunno. It's just different.)?

No opinion on the rash guard...I don't think they'd look out of place, but I also don't think a t-shirt would either.

However, Kristy and Tara... y'all both surf? Is the surfing any good on this coast? DH and I both surf.

I think they all look super cute, and honestly I sort of want one now. But I'm usually the one in the giant sun hat and SPF 100+, sipping frozen drinks under a thatch roof of some kind.

I think it's cute--different, but cute. If I saw it I'd assume that either you cover up for modesty or for health reasons--and I'd be cool with either.

I wouldn't find it strange at all. If both brands offer the same protection, I'd go with the LE one, since it's more affordable.

I've recently purchased LE and J Crew bathing suits, the LE one is MUCH higher quality. The J Crew one is fine, it's not poorly constructed, the LE one is just amazing!

Okay first I've never even seen something like this before or if i did, I didn't know it was for swimming. And second, both of them are so cute! They are so similar that I would just go for the cheaper one. I am actually seriously considering getting one
