Struggling to poop...

My 3 week old has always had problems popping. He manages to go once every other day. He would go so much more if he could. He cries, grunts, kicks, and squirms and just can't push it out. We've done baby suppositories but don't want to keep doing them if its something else. Anyone else having issues. He's bottle formula fed with similac sensitive.

    We are having the same problems.  Jack hasn't pooped since thursday, he's six weeks old.  He moans and grunts and turns bright red!  We use the similac for spit up, but it seems to have made the situation worse so we are going to switch bac

    We had the same issue and switched to gentlease and have had no issue.  Our doctor said not to go to similac sensitive because it is formulated differently and is more for lactose sensitivity.  Maybe switch and see if it helps.

    We had that issue where he would get red and scream trying to push out poop or gas.  We have had luck with putting him on his back and bicycling his legs.  It really has helped.  That and keeping him upright for about 30 mins after his bott

    I prop LO up against my legs when he's grunting so that he is sitting. It's really hard to poop lying down! He usually manages to get it out in a few minutes that way.

    Wow.. DS is BF, but has poop in every diaper change to the extent and frequency that I put desitin on to prevent diaper rash. he poops and farts all the time.

    My daughter is the same way. She poops once or twice a day but it is a HUGE production. A good hour before she starts crying and straining and passing a lot of gas. Same grunts, cries, kicks, squirms, etc. I hate it!! She seems to be in so much pain! She
