I need a quick response...Please :)

in May 2013 Moms

So...I'm 36/6 today. I had little streaks of brown discharge in my underwear and I also had a lot of pelvic pressure yesterday but not much at all today. I called my doc (after my mother insisted that I do lol) and they are sending me to L &D. After reading some things online, this seems like a normal thing to happen during the last few weeks.

 

Anyone have any idea of why my doc would send me to L&D??

    Also...I'm not having contractions. I don't even know what they feel like.

    maybe you should ask your doctor?

    all those things sound pretty par for the course to me.

    My guess would be to do a non stress test to check on baby, to see if you are contracting and if you are dialated.  Pressure and brown discharge could indicate something is going on.  Good luck!

    Have they done a cervical exam yet?  I was having contractions last week and they sent me to L & D just to go on and do a cervical exam to check for dilation.  Maybe they are wanting to do one just to see where you are and if you could be go

    Not sure this is normal, but it could be a sign that baby is ready. Besides sometimes the techs do get the time of conception down wrong so you may be 36 and 6 but it may possibly be more or baby is just ready now. Don't panic if that's the case. But good

    Thanks for all the responses.

     

    They did a nonstress test and an internal (super painful). Baby is just fine and it doesn't look like she's coming soon.
