Progesterone shots - anyone?

I know there is one other gal getting them ...is anyone else? I just had my first one last Friday and I am still sore from it. These are different then the ones you get early in pregnancy...they go in your booty and start at 16 weeks to prevent preterm labor. Just wondering if anyone else has experience with them and if you had any side effects.

    My OB was going to have me get them, but the high risk specialist she had me see said they wouldn't help in my situation.  My low AFI is more of a placental issue than a spontaneous preterm labor issue.  Can't say I was disappointed in not ha

    I did have 2 preterm births, though.  DD1 was at 32 weeks, and DD2 was at 36 weeks; both due to low AFI.

    I'm on week 4. My H does them because he is a pro after the ones for IVF. First 2 were fine....last week was in too far toward the center of my butt cheek and hurt for a whole day. Being able to heat before a d after really help

    2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
    TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
    Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    I got mine this morning and my lower back still hurts. :(
    They had to do it super high because my sciatica is acting up really bad and they didn't want to take the chance of hitting it.

    My doctor said to take Tylenol and apply gentle heat to hel

    Yes Friday was my first shot.  Today it defiantely feels better but wow was I sore.

    This is my second time...well round should I say. I had to get them with my second daughter because my first was a preemie and they weren't sure why. It gets a little easier as time goes on. You learn little tricks like how to rub the spot or what work

    I get my 4th shot on Thursday. I have definitely been sore around the injection site for a few days after each dose. Makes me ache. My nurse has been great at injecting it slowly so it doesn't hurt at all. I'm thankful for that, since I hate getting shots
