Preemie Prep?

Hi there! Did you purchase any preemie diapers just in case your babies came early or were tiny when they were born? Wondering if I should buy a case of them just in case they come early so I'm prepared... thoughts? Or is that a waste?

    The NICU nurses told us there is very little  difference in the preemie & newborn size, so we just bought newborn.  Usually the preemie sizes would only be useful in the NICU if your twins were extremely small, in which case they will supply

    I would wait. My boys moved to newborn while still in the NICU.

    By the time my kids get out of the NICU they'll be in newborn, so if skip the preemie. Plus if they do need them, it's easy for your DH to go pick up.

    We used preemies at home for a week or so. I had a few packs from Babies R Us just in case and then we bought a few more at Walmart after we got home. If you buy them from Babies R Us and use the rewards card, you can always exchange it later on.

    Our NICU sent us home with several packages of newborn and preemie. Twin A grew out of the preemie within a few days of being home.

    I wouldn't bother.  Even in the NICU, for the most part they used newborn diapers on my DDs (5lbs14oz and 4lbs12oz at birth).  They just folded the top of the diaper down. 

    On a related note, when you come home from the hospital,

    My boys were 5 lb 9 oz and 4 lb 12 oz. We just used NB and folded the tops down.
