So I just finished reading a part about soothing for NAPS in Healthy Sleep Habit, Happy Child. He talks about 2 methods. Method A baby sometimes soothe themselves to sleep unassisted after being soothed by mom for several minute. And method B you put the to sleep first or make them drowsy then put to bed.
So my DD has been having trouble with nap time. there that said, I have always just put her in her crib and walk away and she will cry, i will let her be for 5mins then go in and give her soother and she then falls asleep, but not for long. I am wondering if maybe some of the reason why she is not napping for to long could be that I am not soothing her? (I know it has a lot to do with sleep maturation) the only thing that scar's me about the soothing is that I have not been doing it and to start now at 3 months will she then depend on it all the time, like will it become a habit that's hard to break?
P.S sorry for all they silly sleep posts, DD is my first. I have know idea what i am doing lol.
