Crib conversions

BTDT moms, I have a crib that converts to a toddler bed then a fullsize bed. How long was your LO in the toddler bed before you converted it to a bigger size? I want to buy H a Pottery Barn bed set but I don't want to get one in a toddler size if she will only be in that bed for a short period of time.

P.S. please feel free to chime in even if your not a BTDT mom.

DD was nearly five when we switched her to a twin bed. We switched her when she got too tall for the toddler bed.

We haven't made the switch yet but we also have the cribs that convert to toddler beds then full sized beds. When we transition out 2.5 yr old she will just take the rail off and let her get used to that for a while. Once she's good with that we will tran

E was in his until he was almost 4. Someone gave us a twin bed with a mattress that had never been used before, it had been the top bunk of bunk beds. Otherwise between 5 and 6 we would have switched him probably.
