Night weaning

Anyone still nursing but has night weaned?  I would LOVE to have DD night-weaned (with hopes she would sleep through the night, or at the least, DH could help get her back to sleep in the middle of the night).  Any easy suggestions?  She just screams and throws herself around until she nurses if she wakes up over night. I've moved nursing much earlier in our bedtime routine (before tubby time), so I know she CAN fall asleep without nursing, it's just ugly to try overnight.  Thanks!!

    I agree that no matter what you choose there will be tears. We night weaned the last feeding she had left at 6ish months I think because I couldn't take the lack of sleep anymore and I knew she didn't need it nutritionally.There were 2 night feedings I ha

    Will she take a bottle at all?  We started night weaning with switching to bottle of milk at night if he woke up, and then changed that to water. After awhile, he'd take a few sips and then spit it out and go back to sleep. Now if he wakes up he goes

    We did night weaning last week. We turned off the monitor and let him CIO. It only took two nights of that before he was STTN. I wish I had done it sooner.

    I cut out 3-5 night nursing sessions (DS reverse cycled) cold turkey with CIO.  Within a week he was STTN with brief wakings and putting himself back down with ease.  It was so painless that I don't even recall the specifics anymore.
