Jasper has managed to make it into my top 6 boy name options, even though it has quite a different feel than my other choices, and I'm curious about people's impression in regard to this name.
What do you imagine someone with the name Jasper to be like?
Do you find it to be a trendy, modern feeling name, or something with more of a timeless feel to it?
What other thoughts and impressions do you have of this name?
In-depth responses are greatly appreciated, as I'm really reflecting deeply on whether this name deserves to remain in my top few options or whether it should be cut.

-It reminds me of 101 Dalmations (I believe Cruella's sidekicks were Horace & Jasper)
-It just sounds harsh to me

Thanks for the replies everyone! I'm quite amazed in the diversity of opinions on the name. From American cowboy, to distinctly British, to canine, and from soft to harsh, from feminine to masculine. Kind of hits all corners of the opinion spectrum it
