silent reflux?

Anyone else having troubles with possible reflux? Specifically silent reflux which doesn't involve much spit up at all? My poor babe is fitting the symptoms pretty well when i looked it up today arching back, wet sounds in throat, wet or difficult burps, and just an overall look of something coming up in the back of her throat. I'm gonna call our ped tomorrow... just was curious if anyone else was dealing with this and any advice you may have received. Its AWFUL watching her in what i perceive as her being in pain!

    DS#1 had silent reflux. He never spit up but he ached, coughing, gagged, and was just miserable!! We slept him on an incline, held him upright after feeds. GL momma!

    Thanks! About how long did it last, do you remember? I have read that they will grow out of it, so I hope that its quick if that's what it actually is.

    DD had reflux pretty bad. She was prescribed Zantac and was on it until she was probably 7 or 8 months. DS now has silent reflux and was just prescribed Zantac as well. Smaller feelings more often, burp more often, keep upright for at least 20 minutes aft

    She will be three weeks on Wednesday.  The only place she will sleep is in her swing or in our arms currently.. so she is getting to sleep on an incline, thankfully.  Did the Zantac help you out?  I want to be proactive about it for her and

    Bear in mind that meds such as Zantac will NOT help with reflux symptoms- reflux is normal for babies because the muscle that keeps stomach contents down is weak when they are little. Medication doesn't fix this. Zantac helps make it less painful and irri

    YES!  Everything you just described sounds like it.  DS has it.  He will turn purple and scream in pain randomly (and sometimes I can even hear him swallowing).  Poor thing, we started Zantac and that's helped but as he gains weight I

    And its true, Zantac doesnt stop the reflux, it just neutralizes the acid.  But my pedi said it perfectly, she asked if I had reflux during pregnancy and I remembered the nights I would wake up, feeling like I was choking and start coughing my lungs
