Smit, what's your point exactly about the incubation period? Your kid was shedding the virus before he puked, so the kids he hadn't gotten sick yet can go eff themselves?
1) No condescension intended. Its just a fact that people are often contagious before they're symptomatic. Keeping one kid home one day does very little to stop the spread of disease.
But since I've already been called "condescending":
Personally, I hate when people come to work sick. Stay the f!ck home! I don't want your germs. I would expect the same courtesy when it comes to children and daycare, Gymboree, etc. It drives me insane!!
WTF. Guess what I did with my kid yesterday? I stayed the fruck home with him because he puked in the morning. The policy is 24 hr, NO ONE should think they are special enough to ignore that. I don't care if your kid got it in the first place from daycare
Smit, the fact that you are a microbiologist means nothing to me. If your kid pukes, keep him the fruck home for a day. Just because he appears to be fine doesn't always mean he is. I know I feel like *** the day after I have the pukes and would want a

FFS, smit. Really? Is it necessary for you to be so condescending? You were wrong, own up it. I don't care if you know better than the daycare's policies, they are still their policies and you don't get to disregard them because you are smarter than every
I have no problem staying home with my son when he is sick. I have done it many times before and I will do it many times again. He puked twice, showed no other symptoms, and has been running around playing all last night and today. Just because I feel tha

If I kept DD home every time she threw up we wouldn't leave the house. Because of her reflux she still spits up a lot when she's active, and right after she eats. Case in point last weekend she had a sippy of milk, a little while later she was ro
Both home buyers have to be present for the inspection. Under contract. We also have a specific time period within which the inspection had to be done or we lose our house. DH stayed in the car with the kids and only got out to sign stuff.
Re: FFFC
You know, I was prepared to let this go until Doctor Worm pulled the condescending scientist act on me.
Gastroenteritis is 100% NOT contagious during the incubation period. The only way to contract these types of viruses is through ingestion of
No dude, you're thinking of cold/flu viruses. Gastroenteritis has a

I love how in instances of disagreement, the fact that Smit and DrW are scientists gets lobbed about. I'mma handle this Doctor Worm style:
1. Do you know what I do for a living? Probably not, because I don't rub it in your face every week. Do you
Congratulations smit, you're the smartest Oct '11.
