Iam 3 days past my due date. I went to the dr. today for a NST and everything was fine. I have been 1cm dilated, 50% effaced, and -2 station for the past three weeks with no progress. The doctor scheduled me for induction next Wednesday if I dont go into labor before then. She mentioned the possibility of a c-section if the labor doesnt progress from the pitocin. She said its possible the baby wont fit and thats why she hasn't come down anymore. Does anyone have a successful induction story from hardly any progress going in and ended up with a problem free vaginal delivery?

Re: Question for anyone who delivered past their due date
i'm in the same boat as you. ?i did ask on the 0-6 board about this. ?less than 1/2 of the women who responded were able to deliver vaginally. ?most ended up getting a c/s.
good luck to you next week!?
Well, I was a week overdue, and had a successful induction based on cervical dilation, but since DS was sunny side up, and kind of turned weird (like he was not quite sunny side up, but maybe looking to the right a little, hard to describe), he got stuck. If his head had been a little smaller, and/or he was facing the right way, and not been sunny side up, it probably would have worked.
Did you get an U/S to see if the baby was positioned correctly?
My cousin just had a large baby, over a week late with little prior progress and had a successful vaginal birth.
Good luck
My induction with my son went just fine. I was a week overdue and he had no intention of comming out on his own. Went in at midnight and got started on pitocen. Got the epidural around 7a (tried to hold out as long as possible, but his heart rate started increasing bc of the intense contractions from the pitocen). Lake was born at 11am that morning and I only pushed for about 30 min.
It took alot longer than I expected, but I was naive and thought I would have a baby like 3 hrs after starting the meds - haha thats not how it works. He was 8lbs 13oz and 21in! I was in shock at how big he was as were the dr's (I'm a pretty small boned girl:). No tearing or anything! Good luck!
