I'm a dork and still haven't mastered this. I've done it a couple of times, but have apparently forgotten how to do it again. Could someone please school me? Thanks!

    It's exactly the same as posting an image. Get the url for the gif & post it using the open & close img tags in the brackets, or use the insert image button in the strip of post formatting buttons above where you type your post.

    I can usually just right-click on the gif, hit Copy and then paste it into the Message box.
