Cloth Diapering

Question on cloth wipes

Hello Ladies! I've posted once before over here, but mainly stay on my BMB. I just wanted to ask a real quick question about cloth wipes. I've read that you don't necessarily have to buy specific "wipes", but can use baby wash clothes in place. This sounds like a plan to me, since people have already purchased me a bunch of wash clothes (for some reason?).

My question is, does anyone have a good way to store, soak, and/or make a wipe solution for them? DH is still on the fence with cloth wipes, but I'd like to show him they'd probably be just as easy as disposable ones!

Thanks!

Re: Question on cloth wipes

  • I use a Prince Lionhart wipe warmer for cloth wipes. I fold up my wipes, put em in, and pour solution over said wipes. The extra dry wipes I keep in a little basket. I like it a lot. Plus DS loves having a nice warm wipe. It's not difficult.

  • You can also buy wipes solution. I get washy wafers (by sheepish grins), and they're just little discs you dissolve in hot water. Smells great and feels nice. I use an old wipes container, fold the wipes like disposable ones, dunk them in solution and

  • THANK YOU! All of these suggestions have been super helpful! I have no idea why MH thought disposable wipes would be easier, but I don't want to "push" any of this on him, in case he gets too over whelmed. He'd never even seen a CD before I showed him! Af
