XP - could this be gas?!

I feel like such a newbie with this question.

DS is a great eater - super nurser, but eats/gulps very quickly. He'll burp okay and it doesn't seem like an issue during the day, but the last couple of nights around 3-4 am after a feeding, he'll be pushing and squirming his legs, trying to stretch out his body, will spit up a little bit and then will be impossible to put back down.

Last night, he came upstairs with us in the rock n play and he settled after 3,487 binkie replacements and slept for another hour and a half. Then he woke up and slept soundly in my arms for another hour and a half.

Could this be gas? I'm willing to go out tonight and get some Mylicon or Gripe water. Thoughts?

  • Definitely sounds like gas to me.  My LO does the same quite often.

  • Sounds like gas to me! My kiddos get it because of my overactive letdown. A good burping session can really help (At night, I'll spend as long as 10 minutes burping just to be sure, even if he's passed out) and also try moving his legs like he's riding
