RCS...how do you pick the date?!?

I'm having an RCS this time around due to medical issues..aka my body is not built properly for LO to come out! I basically don't progress due to my birth canal being too small, the issue runs in the family. My mom had three c-sections for the same reason, even when attempting vbac with my brother and sister. The issue I'm having is how am I supposed to pick the date? I liked the element of surprise last time, not knowing what DD's birthday would be. I feel so much pressure that we have to make the decision this time around. Anyone else in this situation??

    I never really thought about it lol. With DS, the doctor was on call August 26th, it was the day I turned 39w, so we said okay. We weren't really given a choice.

    I'm trying for a VBAC, but if complications arise in third tri, we've discussed trying for a Friday before the school cut off date. That way, DH doesn't miss as much work and we get some flexibility with school. I wouldn't consider the school cutoff if it

    My OB won't do one prior to 39 weeks unless its medically indicated. She's fine letting me wait until 40 weeks if I want. I had DD 4 days early and my water broke naturally. We will probably schedule for Friday 8/9 since my due date is Sunday 8/11.

    My doc won't schedule my RCS until I'm at least 39 weeks, which is good.  My due date is Aug. 14, so mine will most likely be on Aug. 9 or Aug. 12, since they also won't schedule it on weekends.
