I don't have a lot of time for reading anymore, but I especially love anything by Jodi Picoult (esp. My Sister's Keeper, Plain Truth, Nineteen Minutes, Vanishing Acts); also enjoyed the Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold; and anything by CS Lewis.

I don't have any favorite books anymore..=0( The only books I seem to read are thrilling school books. Before school I used to love a good murder mystery or horror book. Used to like a lot of the old Stephen King.

I love love love Jen Lancaster books. They are so witty and lol funny. I can't wait till her next comes out. It will be towards the end of my pregnancy so I am sure I will have time to read it before the babies come!

I also like Jodi Picoult, though I find if i read too many in a row i get sick of her "pattern". (and the few books I've read by her that didn't follow the pattern- i didn't like as much! Go figure!)

I like the shopaholic series by kinsella. I also just finished reading the twilight series (yes, they ARE for young adults! I am a geek!!) but I did really enjoy them!

Now I will be reading everyone's posts today, b/c I need to find something new to read!!

T: Will DH/SO go with you to all of your appointments?

My BF came w/ me to the first appt. and he'll be going with me when i get CVS done. but other then that just the big US and towards the end.

W: What are your favorite pregnancy books? so far i have read Prgnancy week by week and the motherly art of Breastfeeding.

Th: What are your favorite non-pregnancy books? I'm a book worm and read a lot, my all time faves are To Kill A Mockingbird and Huck Finn. i like anything Mark Twain, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Maya Angelo, Richard Wright, James Baldwin oh too many to name. I'm addicated to the Showtime series Dexter and my BF bought me the first two books last xmas so hopefully i get the third this year!

I don't read much since DD takes up most of my time but before babies I read like a fiend. I love Margaret George, Jane Austen, J K Rowling. I did just read Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris- totally twisted but very funny.

T: Will DH go with you to all appointments? He says he will, but I'm concerned he'll miss too much work. There are a lot of appointments! He did go with me for my 1st one, some parts of which it was awkward - like Pap smear. But when they did the U/S and we saw the baby's heartbeat for the 1st time I was so glad we could share it!!

W: I like What to Expect when your Expecting and have been reading that since TTC. DH is enjoying The Expectant Father

Th: What non-pregnant books do you read/enjoy? I love anything by John Steinbeck - especially East of Eden. Currently I'm reading Ishmael (by D. Quinn).

Th: What are your favorite non-pregnancy books?

I love books by Latin American authors. My all-time favorite is House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende. She is my favorite author, and I've read just about all of her books. Although, I'm a fan of her earlier works. Other faves are The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho and most anything by poet Sandra Cisneros. My favorite non-Latin American book is The Red Tent by Anita Diamant.

What are your favorite non-pregnancy books?

My favorite book that I read in the last couple months that was not a college text book was My Horizontal Life by Chelsea Handler, it is so freaking funny i was cracking up all the time. It was a good book and her other book Hello Vodka its me Chelsea was excellent as well.

I just read Marley and Me and it was a fabulous book....I CRIED during the whole thing. Blubbering, real tears, loud crying. It was a really good book, especially because it hit home so much for us. We got a dog last year while we were engaged, and he is a little energy-filled lab too. We have learned to love him the way he is....and he will be so good with our kids. Anybody that has a dog....read this book before the movie comes out!!!

My favorite books are about vampires. Yeah, it's a little crazy, but they are very interesting. My favs are: The twilight series, Anita Blake Novels, anne rice, and there is a series, the first book is beneath a blood red moon, I can't think of the author.

M-I had my first ob appointment yesterday and an ultrasound today. Only two more hours!

T-DH probably won't make it to a single appointment. His job doesn't offer much flexibility. Plus, he's really new there and hasn't told them that I"m pregnant.

W-What to expect when you're expecting, The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy

T-Jodi Picoult is good, but my favorite books are the Robert Jordan Wheel of Time series. I have read those books many times and buy them for people as gifts whenever there might be even a spark of interest!

I love James Patterson. I was late getting on that bandwagon (never saw the movie Kiss The Girls or Along Came A Spider) I just started reading them this year and love them!

Oh, and can you change my EDD to July 29th instead of July 22. Thanks... I have to redo a week Sad

I don't know the excat date the baby is due. I was 1st told July 20th, but I am just 7 weeks 5 days, so I think it will be a bit later.

We got to see the baby yesterday and see the heartbeat for the first time!! DH will go to most appts, probably all.

I am currently reading the Twilight books, I am on book 3. I can't wait to see the movie.

Emma, 23 Due July 15th!

This is my first baby and we have an ultrasound tomorrow. Husband and I are very excited to finally see what's going on in there and hear a heart beat.

A friend gave me "Belly Laughs" by Jenny McCarthy said she laughed till she cried..I'm looking forward to reading it.

I love James Patterson too! I also enjoy reading Patricia Cornwell, Johnathon Kellerman and Stephen White. I'm into murder mysteries and forensics, although I know James Patterson has written some very good romantic/drama novels as well!
