Acid Reflux?

My DD has been spitting up really bad latley. It's not after she eats it's always a few hours later. My pedi said if it does not seem to be bothering her to not really worry about it, and if it gets worse come back in and we will try something else. I am already putting oatmeal in her bottle to help it stay down. My question is what type of bottles do you use for your reflux babies? Right now we are using Dr. Browns, but I was doing some reading online and some people said that Dr. Browns made their baby spit up worse? Any advice ladies? Thank you all in advance!!

Re: Acid Reflux?

  • We use Dr. Browns for DS.  The only thing that really helped him was putting rice cereal in his bottles.  Is your pedi going to put her on any meds?  We've been on meds since I think month 2 but DS was in a lot of pain w/o them.  </

  • My LO uses tommee tippee bottles. She was in a lot of pain and was slow at gaining weight because she spit so much of her bottle up so she was first put on Axid similar to zantac then was put on prilosec. She used to spit up anywhere from 4 to 10 times af

  • We were not on meds until a few weeks ago.  We used Playtex nursers bottles, with the liners.

He was definitely in pain - screaming, arching, not wanting to eat, etc.
