October's not my month

I went to the doctor for my first appt with my OB last Monday. I was 12w6d. I had a bad feeling the entire pregnancy so she started out with the doppler to see if she could hear a hb. She couldn't so she took us back for an u/s. I immediately saw my baby. It looked just like a 13w baby should with arms, legs, and I even saw her nose. I quickly realized that something was wrong. She wasn't moving at all and her little heart wasn't pounding. The doctor then told me what I suspected all along. She told me that there was a ton of fluid in the baby's stomach and didn't know why.

I went on Wednesay for a d&c and it was the worst thing I have ever had to do. I was (and still am) and emotional disaster.

My doctor said that her heartbeat stopped around 12.5 weeks. They sent her off for testing to hopefully give us some answers.

This past week has been one of the worst weeks of my life. My birthday was last Tuesday and that just made things that much harder.

On the plus side I have lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks and I haven't even been trying. I have been eating for 2 and somehow still lost a crap ton of weight.

Today is my first day back at work and I'm having a hard time. I lost 700cc's of blood during surgery plus a bunch after and that is effecting me the most. I'm still really dizzy and lightheaded. I had a co-worker bring me to work because I don't think it would be safe for me to drive yet.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage between my first and second and it is never an easy thing to recover from but you will recover. Prayers for a full healing and a sticky baby for you very soon!
