Diaper Sizes?

LO was born 8 lbs 5 oz. We're still using newborn size diapers. At two weeks she's regained her weight but not much more. And her umbilical cord has fallen off. The size 1s look so big, but I don't want to have too many extra newborn diapers. When are other mommies switching to size 1? TIA

Thanks for all the advice! She's had a couple top leaks in the newborn size, so I think I'll try the size 1s when I run out in a few days. If they're just too big I can always run to the store.

DD is 6 weeks and weighed in at 9 lbs 7 oz today at the doctor. we just broke into the size 1's this past weekend. They are a little big but the NB ones just weren't cutting it anymore.

My sis LO was born at 8lbs2oz and she only every used size 1. DS was 6lbs, he's still in NB size, I just bought a new box last week. He hit 8lbs this week, so I think this will be the last NB diapers.

In my experience there isn't a huge difference in size between the different sized diapers its more that the absorbency changes. If the newborn are at all snug or if she is leaking I would definitely move up to size 1's plus they are cheaper and you can g
