Aria vs Aurea

1)Preference? 2) How would you pronounce Aurea? My dh thinks it will get butchered. 3) Between Pretty Little Liars and Game of Thrones do we think Aria is about to become the most popular name ever? I've loved it before both the shows and finally get a chance to use it, but i don't want her to be the next Isabella. (Hense why I was so excited when I found the name Aurea)

I know it, but Aurea is legit, it's from the same roots and background as Aurora, totally different meaning and name than Aria, though they are pronounced similarlry. From what I've read Aurea is pronounced closer to Aurora with the emphasis on the au-

I prefer Aria. Or Arya via GofT (even though I do not generally care for the Y for vowel thing.) I really like the name, but when I brought it up with DH he said, "No way. We dont want her to be known as a girl who has sex with her teacher." Sigh.

I would pronounce both ar-ee-uh. Prefer the spelling Aria. Aurea looks too much like urea.. ick.

I haven't seen Pretty Little Liars or Game of Throwns, so I can't speak to popularity, but I definitely prefer Aria.

1. My preference is Aria. Aurea looks like it may be a sexually transmitted disease.
2. I would pronounce Aurea the same as Aria .... and I agree with your DH.
